Spiritual Personality Development According to Kuşadalı Ibrahim Halveti

Abstract
Kuşadalı Ibrahim Halveti (1262/1846), the founder of the Kuşadaviyye branch of The Halveti-Sabani Order, is one of the leading Sufis of his time. Having a new branch in the order means to bring innovation to that order. The necessity to innovate stems from both the individual’s own special disposition and the psycho-social conditions of the period. This condition increases the importance of investigating the innovating Sufi’s spiritual personality perception through psycho-spiritual and social aspects. For that reason, we will analyze in our paper the basic principles of the spiritual personality development and transformation according to Kuşadalı Ibrahim Halveti in terms of Sufi psychology. On one hand our study will provide to understand the psycho-spiritual structure of our Sufi, on the other hand it will contribute recently developing field of Sufi psychology.
