Stages and features of the process of formations of the bulgarian ethnic minority in Ukraine

Abstract
In the article author researched resettlement movements of the Bulgarians in the south of Ukraine during the XVIIIXIX centuries, have experienced several stages, each of which had its own characteristics, and eventually led to the formation of a new diverse ethnic communities. The total number exceeded 150 thousand people in the early of the twentieth century. Also analyzed the policy of the government of Russian Empire of the Bulgarian population. In particular, this concerned the creation of central and local administrative institutions, the introduction of protectionist domestic policies – providing a number of benefits, privileges and rewards.
