Structure and classification of English business dialogue

Abstract

The article is dedicated to researching into the concept of the dialogue in general, as well as the business dialogue in particular. Various approaches to studying such a multidimensional linguistic phenomenon by both home and foreign scholars within recent twenty years are considered. All variety of the complex process of oral official business communication can be particularly brightly traced in a dialogue, where the verbal behavior of communicants is determined by socio-cultural factors, rank status, degree of speech etiquette, as well as the specific situation of communication.
