STUDY OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE METHODICAL SYSTEM OF STUDYING PHYSICS ON THE BASIS OF STEM-TECHNOLOGIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION TECHNICAL UNITS

Abstract

Some aspects of experimental verifi cation of the eff ectiveness of the author’s methodology of teaching physics in the context of the development of STEM-education in institutions of higher education of the technical educational profi le are considered in the article. In order to statistically process the results of the formative pedagogical experiment, methods of checking statistical hypotheses based on the comparison of measurements of a certain property in two independent samples were used: 1) criterion χ2; 2) the Kolmogorov–Smirnov criterion. During experimental work, diagnostic methods of research (questioning, testing, interviews, and questionnaires) were used, which allowed to obtain statistical data. Diagnostic methods were used in experimental and control groups. The results of the third stage of the pedagogical experiment indicate the eff ectiveness of strengthening the role and signifi cance of the methods of teaching physics in the development of STEM education, namely the organization of practical tasks by students, the formation of skills and abilities in the implementation of laboratory work in physics and the use of ICT tools.
