СУЧАСНІ ТЕНДЕНЦІЇ ТА ОСОБЛИВОСТІ РОЗВИТКУ МОЛОЧНОГО СКОТАРСТВА В УКРАЇНІ

Ulianchenko O.V., Litovchenko T.V. The Modern Trends and Peculiarities of Dairy Cattle-Breeding Development in Ukraine. The modern trends of dairy cattle-breedingdevelopment in the system of the branches of the national economy of Ukraine are analyzed. The dynamics of milk production by the categories of the farms and per capita is established. The trends of changes in the number of cows, milk productivity of cows and profitability of milk production are determined. It was revealed that during the period of Ukraine's independence, a trend for a steep decline in the number of cowswas observed, which, despite the increase in their productivity, did not allow increasing the volumes of milk produced by both the agricultural enterprises and the farms of the population. All this negatively affected the population's diet, satisfying the demand for milk and dairy products in 2017 by only 62%. It was proved that despite these negative trends, dairy cattle-breeding is one of the most promising sectors of the national economy, which, under the condition of proper organizational and economic regulation, can substantially strengthen the food security of the state, provide domestic demand and increase Ukraine's export potential. It is substantiated that the main way of developing dairy cattle-breeding is to implement a complex of organizational and economic measures at the level of the national economy, among which: increase of the volume of the state support; specialization and concentration of production; attraction of the investments in modernization of the dairy farms; improvement of livestock composition and development of selective and pedigree work;improvement of the livestock’s feeding level; improvement of the quality of milk-raw materials; optimization of production costs and increase of labor productivity; optimization of the size of thedairy enterprises and intensification of production.
