Swift Synthesis of ZnO Nanorods by Microwave Hydrothermal Method
Journal Title: International Journal of Physics and Research (IJPR) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 4
Abstract
A new, simple, large yield, low cost, microwave assisted hydrothermal method to synthesize high quality ZnO nanorods has been adopted. The microwave assisted hydrothermal synthesis method brought significant benefits like greater speed and yield compared to the traditional methods. The present article utilized zinc acetate, sodium hydroxide solutions as precursors which exerted a tremendous effect on morphology and size of ZnO nanorods. The scanning electron microscoping (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV Spectroscopy, FTIR analysis revealed the morphology and particle size of ZnO nanorods having around 40nanometer in diameter and 0.8micrometer in length formulate 1500C with 120minutes growth time. This current method suitable for large scale production of ZnO nanorods and could be extended to metal oxide nanostructures.

Interpretation of Varying Characteristics of Thermopowers of Silver – Samples at Low Temperature
Thermopowers of Silver samples with varying amount of twisting show-varying characteristics in respect of temperature variation and magnitude at low temperature, as reported in the literature. These characteristics are i...
NUMERICALCALCULATIONS OF THE WIGNER ROTATION
We have introduced the Wigner rotation. We represented special and most general Lorentz transformations. The velocity addition formula for special and most general Lorentz transformations are clearly explained. We have d...
How Does the Magnus Force Produced for Different Angular Velocity 3Vary Across Different Values of Surface Roughness Such as Foil, Plastic, Paper, Cloth, and Felt Applied on a Rotating Cylinder?
When a rotating cylinder was placed inside the uniform flow stream of any fluid, it created a force on the cylinder, called the Magnus force, perpendicular to the flow of the fluid. This force is directly related to the...
DEVELOPED MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF MO6+ SUBSTITUTED LITHIUM FERRITES
The present study reports the developed magnetic properties of high valancy non–magnetic ion Mo6+ substituted lithium ferrites. The samples with compositional formula [Li (1+3y)/2MoyFe2.5-5y/2]O4 (where y = 0.05 to 0.5 i...
A Study of Nephelauxetic Ratio of Rare-Earth Complexes (Neodymium) in Different Amino-Acids
Among metals, the rare-earth elements form an outstanding and unique group. The element of the first series that is from Cerium to Lutetium (58Ce to 71Lu) which form a part of the sixth period are called lanthanides. The...
