Synthesis, and biological evaluation of new pyrimidine derivatives as potential anti-inflammatory agents
Journal Title: World Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 5
Abstract
Pyrimidine is the parent substance of a large group of heterocyclic compounds and plays a vital role in many biological processes, as found in nucleic acids, several vitamins, co-enzymes and purines. Keeping this in mind new pyrimidines are synthesised by conventional method and the structures were confirmed by spectral evidence. Synthesised compounds were screened for their anti-inflammatory activity. Among the synthesized compounds compound B5P5 and B6P6 possessed maximum activity.
