SYNTHESIS OF VITAMIN D AND FACTORS INFLUENCING IT: GENETIC, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND INDIVIDUAL ASPECTS

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 9

Abstract

This article investigates the factors influencing the synthesis of the vitamin D in the human body, genetic polymorphisms, and their impact on health. The obtained results indicate changes in vitamin D levels across various groups (elite athletes, patients with reproductive system diseases, individuals diagnosed with osteoporosis, and conditionally healthy individuals) based on genetic characteristics and other factors. Genetic analyses provided significant findings on the impact of VDR gene polymorphisms (FokI and BsmI) on human health. These results may serve as a basis for future research on early disease detection and the implementation of preventive measures.
