Abstract
Today the examination of the preferences regarding written media consumption is a primary task. The marketability and consumption of a given newspaper is not only defi ned by its graphical and formal execution, but it is also dependent of the cause that it represents and by the degree in which the paper manages to satisfy the expectations of the target audience. In this thesis we are going to examine agenda settings of two Hungarian printed daily newspapers from Transylvania, namely the Háromszék and the Székely Hírmondó; the examination is going to be done by quantitative content analysis also comparing the two. We investigated leading articles. The conclusion of this thesis: Although media of publication is the same for both analyzed newspapers, the agenda setting is different based on specific considerations.
