Testy zgodności oparte na momentach, Consistency Tests Based on Moments

Abstract
In the paper we are going to present the results of the research on selected statistical tests based on moments. In particular, the well-known Jarque-Bera test properties have been compared and contrasted with its modification proposed by White (1987). According to the outcomes of the simulation studies, the modified Jarque-Bera statistic is recommended as the normality test because the standard Jarque-Bera test is based on skewness and kurtosis and their distributions are derived under normality assumption. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań własności testów opartych na momentach. Ze względu na powszechne zastosowanie testu Jarque-Bera, zostały omówione własności tego testu w porównaniu z jego modyfikacją. W badaniach uwzględniono rozmiary testów i ich moc. W świetle uzyskanych wyników zmodyfikowana postać testu Jarque-Bera powinna być stosowana do badania normalności rozkładów, ponieważ standardowy test Jarque-Bera jest oparty na skośności i kurtozie, a ich rozkłady są wyprowadzane przy założonej normalności.
