Abstract
Introduction: In effective scatterbrain the tumour illnesses the necessary basie knowledge is with rangę of oneology, which will permit on the child's and effective investigation, sensible introspeetion in track his life, permits on proper responsiveness in case any irregularities. Objectives: The aim of study is the analysis of the knowledge about tumours among children. Materiał and methods: The investigations were lead among 2000 pupils of primary and junior high schools from the Podkarpacie province. The data were the investigative materials from the survey. Results: The most often tumours information source were media (28.45%), family (14.45%, in this parents 12.9%), school (5.7%), but doctor and nurse only 0.55%. For the most often causes of tumours children find stimulants (cigarettes - 49.95%, alcohol - 17.7%, drugs -9.3%). As frequent diseases causes they specify environmental pollution (7.75%) and bad life and nutrition. Among tumours treatment symptoms the studied group specify the most often hair loss (32.1%), weakness and vomiting (properly 14% and 9.95%), body mass loss (6.5%) and pain (4.75%). Conclusions: State of the knowledge about the tumours can be qualified as average, which is the signal for to compile the informative programmes which aim in enlargement the consciousness among children.
