The determination of performance of functioning of innovation clusters in the national economic systems

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the existing approaches to the determination of performance of functioning of innovative clusters in the national economic systems and to develop proposals for the studied problem. Methodology of research. The tasks of the article are accomplished by using the following general and specific research methods: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, generalization, comparison, dialectic, correlation-regression analysis. Findings. It is established that there is no single universal approach and criteria for determination of performance of functioning of innovative clusters in the world and domestic practice. It is revealed that the procedure of evaluation of results of activity of innovative clusters is complicated by the absence or the lack of statistical data. The indicators for the evaluation of performance of innovative clusters are proposed. The structure and the formula for calculating the synergistic innovation effect of innovation cluster are presented. Practical value. The approaches, methods, criteria and indicators concerning the determination of performance of functioning of innovative clusters, that are covered in the article, can be applied in the practice. Author’s suggestions can be taken into account during the evaluation of performance of domestic innovation clusters.
