The Development of Four Verse Poems Based on Aesop Tales to Enhance Spelling Skills of Prathomsuksa 4

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills of Prathomsuksa 4 to be the efficient standard criterion of 85/85, 2) to compare the enhance spelling skills before and after study by four verse poems based on Aesop Tales, and 3) to study the opinion of student about using the four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills. The samples were 43 students of Prathomsuksa 4 Nakprasith School. Sampran district. NakhonPathom province during the second semester of Academic year 2015. They were selected by simple random sampling.The experiment was taken 2 weeks, 4 times per week, total 8 times. The research instruments were: 1) four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills of Prathomsuksa 4, 2) learning management plans, 3) test of student spelling skills, and 4) questionnaires to investigate student’s opinions by using the four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills. The data were analyzed by mean ( ), standard deviation of items (S.D.), and t-test dependent. The research findings were as follows: 1) The four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills of Prathomsuksa 4 had the efficient standard criterion of 88.25/85.90, 2) Spelling skills of Prathomsuksa 4 after learning higher than before learning been statistically significant at the .05 level, and 3) The sample student was opinions at high agreement level about management learning using the four verse poems based on Aesop Tales to enhance spelling skills.
