THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL PEDAGOGY IN THE UK

Abstract
The article analyzes the historical origins and current trends in the development of social pedagogy as a scientific discipline and a profession in the UK. The activities of the major research institutions, non-governmental organizations involved in the development of social pedagogy in the UK are described. Bachelor and master programs in social pedagogy offered by British universities, other training courses offered by organizations promoting and developing social pedagogy are described.
