THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE EXCAVATOR BUCKET ON THE OPTIMUM TRAJECTORY THROUGH THE CONTROL OF THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS LENGTHS
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2017, Vol 62, Issue 2
Abstract
The article refers to the hydraulic excavators with backhoe attachment equipped with length sensors at the hydraulic cylinders. The relations for the calculus of the lengths of the hydraulic cylinders of the excavator corresponding to a given position of the bucket cutting edge are established. These relations are necessary for the indication of the bucket position in the excavator cabin as well as for the automatic command of the working equipment of the excavator for obtaining an optimum trajectory of the bucket. An application for a concrete case was realized.

EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF NOVEL TELESCOPIC DEVICES FOR EARTHQUAKE PROTECTION
The telescopic SERB devices are compact mechanical devices designed for bracing isolation systems. These devices can provide important dissipation of the seismic energy and can generate the necessary force to prevent the...
ON THE INFLUENCE OF DENSITY ON THE WAVE PROPAGATION IN FLUIDS
In this paper we investigate the influence of the density on the propagation of waves in fluids with exponential and cosine stratification, respectively. We show that the waves are pairs of solitons, each pair consisting...
EFFECT OF DISTORTION ON THE STRUCTURAL BEHAVIOUR OF THIN-WALLED STEEL REGULAR POLYGONAL TUBES
This paper addresses the effect of cross-section distortion on the structural behaviour of thin-walled tubes with single-cell regular convex polygonal crosssections (RCPS) and provides an in-depth view on the underlying...
PROBABILISTIC SEISMIC VULNERABILITY ANALYSIS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS
Estimating the response of reinforced concrete columns to a transitory action, represented by a ground motion, is an uncertain task. The randomness of the seismic event and that of the response should be accounted for. T...
