The Effect of City on Suburbs (Surrounding Villages)

Abstract
Todays, rural sociology and rural planning will be considered in order to implement optimization plans, preferential and Hadi-e-Roosta plans as challenges of rural and urban planners and researchers. Therefore it’s possible to recommend solutions and recommendations for proper addressed procedures entitled the role of city function in the development of suburbs (case study: Banghalan village, Ilam city). Data and statistics gathered during 15 years (1991-2007) among Ilam population. Recently used theories and methods of rural planning are including: Walter Christaller theory, Fontanen, growth pole, Lipton, Randlini theory, Alfered Weber. Findings of statistical community have been considered by means ofrural planning methods in order to assess the extent of improvement of selected socio-economic indices. Additionally it was considered the extent of their correlation with indices like tendency toward having job in living place and unemployed person attraction, improving agricultural situation and the extent of improving life level and access to various services. Meanwhile, to assess the temporal and spatial effects of process of changing village to city, it was used field and documentary data, including statistical findings, plans, data of local institutions and offices.
