THE EFFECT OF HERBICIDES ON THE MICROFLORA AND ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY OF THE SOIL

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 2

Abstract

In field experiments, the effects of the herbicides A-STOMP, GIANT 330 EC, and Chemzlak-18% on the abundance of the main ecological, trophic, and taxonomic groups of microorganisms in the rhizosphere of the cotton variety "Sulton" were studied. It was found that the application of A-STOMP and GIANT 330 EC resulted in a decrease in the total number of microorganisms, while the use of Chemzlak-18% led to an increase in the total number of microorganisms. Microorganisms resistant to industrial concentrations of the studied herbicides were identified, including species capable of assimilating mineral forms of nitrogen: Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus indiensis, Bacillus cereus, as well as the bacteria Staphylococcus warneri, Kocuria rosea, and Streptomyces sp.
