The essence of relational capital – empirical approach and further research directions.

Abstract
The article reviews the research on relational capital in different contexts such as SME performance, innovation, knowledge transition. The article also points to the relevance of the relational capital theme for building a competitive advantage of companies. Both the num¬ber of publications and research as well as the variety of definitions of this concept indicate the importance of undertaking further research activities. The purpose of the publication is also to indicate the direction of further research on relational capital.<br/><br/>
