The ethnonym Ukrainian in the Russian language consciousness: lingvopragmatical aspect

Abstract
This article provides an analysis of the connotations of ethnonymic Ukrainian names in the Russian language, which explicate the estimated ratio of modern carriers of Russian linguoculture to the referent and affect the dynamics of the perception of ethnic stereotypes “Ukrainian”. The technique of the association experiment as a means of identifying connotations and image- evaluation components of the semantics of the ethnonym allows to make the conclusion about the predominance of negative attitude to the representatives of Ukraine.
