The expediency of the existence of juries in criminal proceedings in Ukraine

Abstract
The article considers one of the relatively new institutions Ukrainian criminal procedural law – jury trials. Despite the fact that in some developed countries, the jury has long occupied a place in the criminal trial, said Institute in Ukraine came into force only in 2012 is therefore among the scientific community as of today there is no unified position on the desirability of the functioning of the jury. The study analyzed the arguments in favor of the existence of juries in criminal proceedings, and criticizing him.
