The experience of public participation in the prevention of corruption in Ukraine

Abstract
The article presents the results of empirical research experience of public participation in efforts to prevent corruption. The survey was conducted among ordinary citizens and members of the public anticorruption organizations. It is stated that citizens are willing to passively or indirectly contribute to the preventive activity of other anti-corruption subjects. At the same time, corruption prevention measures provided for anti-corruption legislation are fully executed by public organizations. Resistance and lack of understanding with the government, distrust of law enforcement officials and the imperfection of the legislation are the obstacles that hinder the public to effectively counter corruption in the state.
