THE INFLUENCE OF THE „ORANGE REVOLUTION” ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY IN UKRAINE (2004-2013)

Abstract
Civil society in this article is considered exclusively as an existing historical reality. To study civil society, the author uses an institutional approach. Analyzes the influence that the so-called „Orange Revolution” has made on the development of the main institutions of civil society. Finds out how important the public organizations, trade unions, the media, the church and political parties played in the protest events. And how these elements of civil society changed after the «Maidan». Determines at what level the development of civil society was in 2004-2013 and finds out what is hindering its evolution.
