The Influence of the Steel's Surface Quality on the Electroless Ni-P Coatings
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2015, Vol 38, Issue 1
Abstract
The method of autocatalytic reduction coating assures a precise reproduction of the coated surface. This is an advantage when the support surface has a complex geometry but also becomes a disadvantage because it requires a support without surface defects and without high roughness. Also the electroless method requires a special preparation of the support surface which should enhance its reactivity. This paper reveals the influence of different surface characteristics of the support on the quality of the coating. Metallographic analysis has been done on the surface and transversal section of Ni-P coatings of different steel surfaces.

Behavior of Welded Joints From Some Stainless Austenite Steel Types During Nitriding Process
Researches made on welded and nitrided samples from stainless austenite steel types show that nitriding thermo chemical treatment can be applied also for welded joints. As a result of the treatment, a diffusion layer wit...
Decorative Composite Layers
Part of the materials used in the chemical industry, metallurgical, machine construction, can be coated, as with time it occurs either a decrease of its properties, or even a process of advanced faulting, because of the...
Static Analysis of the Structure Type Tank Thermally
This paper consider finite element analysis for structural analysis of a tank under thermal loadings. Geometric modeling is done in CATIA and for finite element analysis the author used FEA module in Catia. The aim is to...
Researches Regarding Improvement of the Fatigue Limit by Heat Treatments of the Al-Alloys for Aeronautics Industry
The laboratory experiments were made on the two aluminium alloyed qualities used for aeronautical industry. The structure and mechanical characteristics were analyzed and the gotten results were compared using those two...
Oxinitrocarburizing in Fluidized Bed Technology Applied to Drawing Steels
Steels oxinitrocarburizing is a thermochemical treatment in order to obtain a slight increase of mechanical properties associated with increased of corrosion resistance. The paper is based on experiments performed on a p...
