THE INFLUENCE OF THE WHEEL CONICITY ON THE HUNTING MOTION CRITICAL SPEED OF THE HIGH SPEED RAILWAY WHEELSET WITH ELASTIC JOINTS
Journal Title: ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - APPLIED MECHANICS - Year 2011, Vol 56, Issue 1
Abstract
The axle hunting is a coupled lateral and yaw self oscillatory motion which is largely determined by wheel–rail contact geometry. The stability of this motion is an important dynamic problem that determines the maximum operating speed of railway vehicle. The progressive depreciation in the working time of the railway vehicles components can lead to the intensifying of the vibration level. In this paper is studied the influence of the variation of the wheel conicity on the hunting motion stability of the high speed railway vehicles wheelset with elastic joints and passive linear elasticity and dissipation forces in horizontal plane.

TRAJECTORY PLANNING OF A PENDULUM-DRIVEN UNDERACTUATED CAR
The control problem of the pendulum-driven cart has been well studied in several literatures. The challenge issue of control of such underactuated systems is to control the motions of the pendulum and the cart by applyin...
INTERNAL REACTION FORCES IN DYNAMICS OF A PLANAR PARALLEL MANIPULATOR
Three identical legs connecting to the moving platform of a planar parallel manipulator are located in the same vertical plane. Knowing the motion of the platform, we determine the positions, velocities and accelerations...

CLASS OF ANTHROPOMORPHIC MODULAR RECONFIGURABLE GRIPPERS WITH THREE OR FOUR FINGERS FOR ROBOT-DESIGN AND PROTOTYPE
In this paper, one class of anthropomorphic modular reconfigurable grippers for robots is described, including a prototype. First, the stages of synthesis, analysis design, and functional simulation are illustrated. The...
RISK-TARGETED MAPS FOR SEISMIC DESIGN. A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE STATE-OF-THE-ART
The uniform hazard approach is currently used for almost all seismic design maps enforced worldwide. That being the case, the seismic risk of buildings designed according to uniform hazard values of ground motions parame...
