Abstract

Holy Quran as the everlasting document of illuminating Islam religion has been discussed since its descending time to now by muslim scientists and also its interpretation has gained a special position. In the meantime, methods of interpreting divine speech have experienced many ups and downs. Interpretation history shows the application of different interpretative manners and methods, in such a way most of the interpreters accepted at first the narrative interpretation method, but they considered more the intellectual method during the next periods, knew it as the most valid interpretative method of merit, and made attempts to delineate Quran by their own intellectual thoughts and endeavors, and so each interpreter has dealt with such an important issue to the best of his power and reason. In this paper, the intellectual interpretation method in Tabatabaeis and Ibn Ashours view points as two contemporary interpreters, one in the east of Islam world and the other in its west with their different manners of enjoying this interpretative method, is examined along with their instances in order to make the thought horizon of each one of whom cleaver and also familiarize more the people aspiring for Quran wisdoms with the method of discovering divine wishes.
