The interval of educational services quality: Distance of current and desirable situation by nursing students point view of Urmia Medical University

Abstract

one of the main challenges which should be attended by Medical Universities, is establishing a coherent system in order to give desirable services and using of operative methods increasing to service quality. In this paper, the Servqual scale application in higher education is investigated and the interval of students’ perceptions and expectations from current services quality is studied. Ultimately, the resultant solutions of this application between nursing students of Urmia Medical University, is presented. The current research method regarding to the intrinsic, is descriptive and correlation. Slightly statistical society involves entire nursing students of Urmia Medical University which have selected by level randomsampling andproportional to volume, 73 individuals have chosen. For information gathering, the standard Servqual questionnairehas used whichincludes two sections of individual information and five dimensions of educational services quality. Dataanalysis is done by SPSS software with using of descriptive statistics, independent T tests and one dimensional variance analysis.about entire quality of given educational services, the most students daresay the negative quality interval existence.Through the service five dimensions, the physical dimension has the highest quality interval average (-7.94), thereafterthere are confidence capability(-6.37), responding (-6.38), assurance (- 5.50). The lowest interval average appertains to empathy dimension (-5.48).negative interval existence in all educational services dimensions, demonstrates the students displeasure of these services. It is necessary that executives using student’s opinions improve this interval.
