THE MAN THROUGH THE PRISM OF “THE CURSED DAYS” BY I. BUNIN

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to show not only the political but also the philosophical significance of “The cursed days” of Bunin I. through the poetics, which is understood in the full meaning of this word. Metamorphosis of the man is examined through the prism of the revolutionary time, the description of the man’s suffering and demonstration of the cruelty. The moments of the diary text by Bunin I, in which the processes of the dehumanization of the man who is in the condition of the sharp hatred, are analyzed. The conclusion about associative similarities of this word “cursed” with the biblical name Kain is made on the base of the lexical meaning of this word. The role of the quotes from the Bible in the structure of “The cursed days” is examined and it gives the deep understanding of the Bunin’s text content. The analysis is made with the help of descriptive, hermenevtical and comparativetypological methods. Bunin’s struggle for Individual in the man is emphasized in the results of the research. It is confirmed that one of the ways of such a struggle in “The cursed days” is the accentuation on the forgotten biblical facts. The Russian writer sees the way out from the dramatic situation in the religion, recurrence to the real worthes.
