THE METHOD OF USING THE SIGHT-SIZE TECHNIQUE FOR PLEIN AIR LANDSCAPE PAINTING

Abstract
The article presents the Sight Size Method or en Plein Air that is useful for landscape painting as it allows the artist to fo-cus on colors, values, and edges one paints seem to take care of themselves. En Plein Air is a French expression most often used to describe the method of painting outdoors or "in the open air". The basis of this method is to observe the lives of peo-ple and the environment. The method of the Sight-Size technique for plein air lanscape painting is one of the main methods for training future Fine arts teachers. Some methodical recommendations by the famous artists K. Korovin, M. Krymov and O. Rindin of using this method are described.
