THE PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF STUDENTS: PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS

Abstract

The article highlights the value-orientational component of patriotic education in the universal and European values. The terminology is unified. The components of the national-patriotic education are determined by the author. The features of patriotic education of students in an educational environment are emphasized in the following article. The basic principles of organizing the patriotic education such as democratization and humanization of the educational process, following the pedagogical ethics, respect for human dignity; educating students on the basis of the priority of human values recognition, freedom of thought recognition; students' rights for having their own opinion, political and life position; the recognition of students’ self-education priority, organizing the students’ self-manegament to develop their own potential; students’ government organizations, the work of students’ associations; focus on educational work professionally oriented students’ activities are determined in the article. The structural elements of patriotic education are distinguished and such peculiarities as integrity, structuralness, hierarchicalness, interdependence of space and environment and multiplicity of description is distinguished in the following article. The idea of education and educational environment forming, the components of which are interacting objectives, content and organization of training activities is distinquished by the author. The author singles out key condition for improving the quality of education.
