Journal Title: Journal of Science and today’s world - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 11

Abstract

The present study was aimed at studying the relationship between organizational climate and English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers’ self-efficacy. It also examined the difference between male and female participants’ level of self-efficacy. To do so, 50 English teachers were selected from Sanandaj English language institutes (30 females and 20 males). The Organizational Climate Questionnaire (OCQ) developed by the OPPojola Group (2012) and Bandura’s(1977) Self-efficacy Questionnaire (SQ) were utilised to collect data .Pearson correlation was computed to check the correlation between organizational climate and efficacy belief, and an independent-samples t-test was run to compare the relationship between organizational climate and EFL teachers’ sense of efficacyacross male and female teachers. The correlational analysis indicated that there was a strong correlation between the organizational climate and selfefficacy. The independent-samples t-test also revealed that there was no significance difference between male and female participants in their level of self-efficacy.
