THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY AND STATE SOVEREIGNTY

Abstract
The article examines views on the essence of state sovereignty and its interrelation with popular sovereignty. State sovereignty is considered as one of the necessary conditions for the implementation of popular sovereignty. It has been proved that popular sovereignty is the basis for the formation of legitimate state power that is capable of representing the state in international relations, within a country.
