THE ROLE OF ANTIVIRUS DRUGS IN THE TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Abstract
In modern medicine, antiviral drugs play a very important role in the effective treatment of infectious diseases. Once viruses enter the body, they multiply inside cells and cause various pathological processes. Therefore, special antiviral drugs are used to eliminate them. Antiviral drugs are aimed at preventing the entry, multiplication or spread of viruses into cells. For example, drugs used in diseases such as influenza, hepatitis, HIV alleviate the course of the disease, prevent complications and speed up the patient's recovery. Some antiviral drugs are also used for preventive purposes, helping to strengthen the immune system. However, for their effectiveness and safety, it is important to follow the advice of a specialist. Thus, antiviral drugs play an important role in the fight against infectious diseases, and their correct use is of great importance for the healthcare system.
