The role of monetary policy in tackling inflation A Case Study of Algeria

Abstract
Price stability is one of the most important goals. different countries through their overall policy including monetary policy. Through this study we have tried to know the influence of monetary policy on the control of inflation rates in Algeria. we talked through monetary policy and inflation, and the relationship between them. We also applied VECM vector error correction model. based on the influential variables: the consumer price index. the money supply. rediscount rates. This study covers the period 1970-2014.
