THE ROLE OF SIMULATION IN EVALUATING THE BEHAVIOUR OF AN ELASTIC COUPLING WITH FLEXIBLE METALLIC ELEMENTS
Journal Title: Journal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics - Year 2018, Vol 13, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper presents the analysis of the elastic coupling with flexible elements, taking intoconsideration the mechanical strength criterion in conditions of normal loading or torsion overload, withand without misalignment, using finite element analysis, responding to multiple demands that are requiredin coupling structure. There are presented the basic principles for applying the finite elements method: thestudy of convergence at different mesh sizes, the loading scheme and boundary conditions for the flexibleelement. Also, the paper presents several simulations to prove the behaviour and functionality of thecoupling for different operational scenarios: mechanical stress, buckling stability and modal analysis.

TEACHING CAD WITH A PEDAGOGICAL SYSTEM RANGING FROM VIDEOS TO INDIVIDUAL TUTORING
This CAD course aims at lifting as many students as possible to a preferably high and welldefined level of competence. At the same time, the teacher's workload should be kept within limits that allow him or her to spend...
CYLINDRICAL SHAPE IN DESIGN
The paper presents the cylindrical shape detailed study, frequently used in industrial design. The geometrical cylindric shape is the ideal (perfect) shape which is given by mathematical equation. The functional shape is...
GEOMETRIC STUDY ON TRANSFORMATIONS THROUGH SYMETRY IN 3D SPACE
In this paper, we present an analysis of the symmetry of the point and of the line in relation to the most known curved surfaces: cylindrical, conical and spherical. This analysis offers mathematical formulas showing the...
MODELLING AND SIMULATION MATTERS UPON THE STATIC ANALYSIS OF A BUILDING
The present paper puts forward a method applied to determine the static analysis and the stress of a two-level building, via an analysis with finite elements for building construction domain. Prior to this, we shall deal...
