The Solutions of Nurse Scheduling Problem of Full-Time Shift and Special Days Off with Goal Programming

Abstract
Nowadays, each of the hospitals serve all day. For this reason, there is a relationship between nurses’ psychological and physical well-being and quality of services they provide. In order for the service to be delivered in the best possible way the nurses’ shifts must be balanced and fair. In this study, a model is developed for the nurses working in a state hospital of Kırıkkale to be assigned as equal as possible to the four shifts specified. The modeling solution are utilized goal programming method and ILOG Cplex Optimization program.
