The Status, Problems and Solutions of Urban Waste Treatment in China

Abstract
With the continuous development of cities, municipal waste is also growing, which has a serious impact on the development of cities. How to solve the problem of urban waste has become a major problem necessarily solved as quickly as possible in urban development. The main conspicuous contradiction in Chinese current urban waste treatment is that, waste is growing faster than the capacity of its treatment, waste treatment technologies are simple, and waste management system is unreasonable. Hence, it is necessary to accelerate innovation in waste collection, removal and treatment system, promote waste treatment technology innovation and implement standardized and legalized waste treatment, especially to achieve industrialization and marketization in waste treatment and strengthen environmental awareness education of citizens.
