Abstract
The article brings to the all-embracing analysis of structural-semantic as well as functional-stylish peculiarities of composite nough-suffix adjective units with non-realized suffix, signifying person according to certain inner characteristics. It was logically qualied the adjective composites have been being motivated by attributive word-combination on the «adjective noun» syntagma base, the first, adjective, component of which explicates the non-color semantics, whilst the second, substantive, one marks the «somatic notion» seme. These derivatives integrate the motivated, semi-motivated, and non-motivated composites, denominating corporal features of the man (strength, hardiness), ability «to be attentive, take notice of everything, react upon events quickly», etc. They also designate a person in correspondence to the outer state, temper, age peculiarities, nationality, occupation, expound efferent resources (vivacity, liveliness), attitude to others, knowledge, intellectual capacity, deportment, pointing to the negative valuation. This type of units likewise elicits pecuniary status, «inability to envisage, reckon on correctly», possibility to get under one’s influence, psychological features, etc. The given investigation proved the thesis the derivatives thoroughly reveal demeanor, actions, and mettle in general to make a felicitous description of a person. The individual-author neologisms (IAN) partly correlate with simple morphological adjectives one of its components underdoes the de-semantic process, therefore its basis is being formed by word-combination, transgressing the semantic concord principle. The nough-suffix adjective composites can be characterized as semantic dissimilar units, despite of the fact they have equal functional potential to realize their direct and metaphorical meanings. The majority of IAN makes the distribution with nouns – abstract denominations and names of plants their fruits, totalities of trees, nature phenomena, seasons of the year, times of the day, fire, astronomic objects, territories, cities, premises their parts, means of transportation, sound notions, etc. It represents the new, metaphorical, meaning of inanimate «reanimating», broadening the semantic nuances spectrum and enriching the epithets repertoire.
