The study of relationship between social capital and organizational citizenship behavior in Iran Carpet Joint Stock Company

Abstract

Development management of economical capitals, physical capitals, and manpower play the most important role in the traditional viewpoints on management. Social capital is more necessary than economical capital, physical capital, and manpower to develop in the new age because it is impossible to utilize other capitals effectively without mentioned capital. A society which hasn’t enough social capital will destroy other capitals. Therefore, social capital is considered as heart of the matter in organizations and those managers who can gain more development and more production of social capital related to society are considered as successful managers. The present survey has been conducted to study impacts of social capital dimensions on organanizational citizenship behaviors in Iran Carpet Jiontstock Company. It was conducted using descriptive-correlation method and hypotheses were tested through Spearman rank correlation coefficient and SPSS19 software. Results of the survey reveal that there is a direct relationship among various dimensions of social capital and organanizational citizenship behaviors in Iran Carpet Jiontstock Company. Friedman variance analysis and binominal distribution tests demonstrate relational aspect of social capital has a higher average than other aspects and social capital status among managers and employees of Iran Carpet Jiontstock Company is at a desirable level.
