The system of exercises for the formation of the orthographic competence of the future medical workers at the lessons of Latin

Abstract
The article proves that the study of the Latin language is an important prerequisite for the professional communication. The article analyzes the formation of the orthographic literacy, which is one of the main problems appearing in the course of the studying of Latin, as an obligatory component of the communicative culture of future professionals. The author defines the main aspects of the formation of orthographic competence of medical students in the course of the study of Latin. The typical spelling mistakes, made by the students at the early stage of studying Latin medical terminology, are identified. The article reveals the necessity of mastering spelling in the training exercises. The system of exercises for the improvement of spelling literacy is suggested.
