The text as an object of linguistic research

Abstract
The article represents the analysis of scientific literature on the problem of partitioning of the oral and written text, analyzed were the main scientific prerequisites and theoretical issues, making it possible to perform a preliminary evaluation of informative and structural characteristics of a text, as well as different aspects of its investigation. On the basis of the performed analysis the characteristics of oral text and the difference between super-phrasal unity of the text were shown.
