THE THEORETICAL APPROACH EVOLUTION TO THE DEFINITION "DIGITAL ECONOMY"

Abstract
The article analyzes the theoretical approaches of domestic researchers to the essence of the concept "digital economy". The evolution of theoretical approaches to the definition "digital economy" in the world is researched. The causes of the digital economy formation in the developed countries are analyzed. The periodization of the main innovation development waves is presented. Recommendations on perspective directions of research are given.
