THE WOMEN IN THE UKRAINIAN SICH RIFLEMEN: THEORETICAL AND HISTORICAL ASPECTS

Abstract
The article examines the participation of Galician women in the fighting units of the Austrian army during the First World War. The legal aspects of forming the structures of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen as national units of the Austro- Hungarian armed forces are pointed out, as well as the activity of individual women in the troops: Sofiia Halechko, Olena Stepaniv and others.
