THEATRICAL SPACE OF XIX CENTURY: THE SEARCH OF NEW EXPRESSIVENESS

Abstract
The article analyzes the transformational processes that take place in the theater space of the XIX century. Actuality is gaining the idea of synthesis of various arts - stage action, poetry, painting, architecture and music. The directors are trying to reform the theatrical performance by simplifying the stage design and leaving care in the acting game. At the turn of the century, a new type of theater was created in European countries, marking a departure from the luminous distraction and pathetic. The focus of the artists is the desire to create realistic images, representing a combination of individual uniqueness of nature and social-type generalization.
