Theoretical and methodological basis of the migration processes study: principles and terminology

Abstract
Global changes in the socio-economic field lead to increased migration, the increasing causation complexity that requires a revision of theoretical and methodological research tools and provisions of international migration. The tasks of study are to improve the theoretical and methodological basis of international migration research by using institutional approach. The study specified the content and variations of the research principles on international migration problems. Terminology in the part of existing concepts of "migratory flow" and "migration corridor" has been improved, concepts of "migration pair" and "migration motivation" have been proposed. This allows to arrange research approaches on migration motivation factors for improving understanding of actual and potential migratory flows as an object of migration management and clarify the current migration policy provisions.
