Abstract
The article contains an analysis of modern studies aimed at studying the theoretical foundations for the formation of ex¬pressive speech in speechless children. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of children in Ukraine who have no speech. Common to all these children is the lack of motivation to communicate, inability to navigate the situation, increased emotional exhaustion. During the presentation of the materials of the article it is stated that at the initial stages of work with speechless children the goals and tasks will be similar, regardless of etiopathogenesis and mechanisms of speech disturbance (development of speech initiative, creation of motivation for speech activity simultaneously with enrichment of internal and external lexicon; the formation of a child's ability to create an internal plan, program utterances). Expansion and enrichment of the vocabulary occurs due to the assimilation of various parts of speech: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs. The goal of the following stages of speech development is the formation of phrase and coherent speech. Corrective work on the development of speech should be carried out in stages, taking into account the individual characteristics of each child.
