TIEMPO EMPLEADO EN PREPARACIÓN PARA EXAMEN ACADÉMICO SER BACHILLER Y LAS CALIFICACIONES OBTENIDAS POR LOS ESTUDIANTES DEL INSTITUTO NACIONAL MEJÍA

Abstract
This study visualizes the difficulties found in: Mathematics, Language and Literature, Natural Sciences and Social Studies during the educational process of the students that attend the Third year of the General Unified Baccalaureate in the National Institute Mejía; before obtaining the degree of Bachelor of Science with the application of the exam implemented by the Senescyt, which is worth 10% in the final grade of the graduation in the institutions of medium level, and this exam allows at the same time the conversion to 1000 points that are required to apply for a career in Higher Education in the academic year 2016 - 2017. The variables are: sex, means used to update knowledge, time preparation, exam grades and the possibilities of study inside and outside the country. The study involved 163 men and 23 women; a survey was applied, the information was processed by" the Statistical Package software for the Social Science”. The results are: 60.7% who received professional support, 20% obtained grades from 801 to 1000, 33.9% had difficulty in Mathematics, and 50.5% is expected to continue university careers in Quito. It is concluded that to obtain good results in the exam, students must prepare at least three months in advance.
