Traveling in Shahnameh

Abstract
Journey always takes place in human life for fleeing or escaping. Journey is of many types: land, underground, sea and air each requiring special equipments and facing some obstacles. However, its customs and rituals should not be ignored. Moreover, there is one theme for each journey according to its time and state. This paper attempts to analyze the journey in Shahnameh - with an emphasis on the mythic and epic parts, so that the readers observe the journey through a new and beautiful window.
