Triazolinediones applications and recent advances in click chemistry
Journal Title: Asian Journal of Green Chemistry - Year 2019, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
Triazolinediones (TADs) are unique reagents in organic synthesis that have also found wide applications in different research disciplines. This work focuses on the recently emerging applications of the triazolinediones chemistry. TAD groups can be reliably clicked onto a range of olefinic reaction partners (Enes and dienes). Recent advances in TAD chemistry includes its roles in bioconjugation of peptides and proteins, derivitization of low-abundant lipid metabolites in biological sample, modular chemical library synthesis, clicking and unclicking protecting groups in organic synthesis, functionalization, and cross-linking of natural plant oils and polymer science.

Propargylation of indole under a new dual-site phase-transfer catalyst: A kinetic study
A new multi-site phase-transfer catalyst viz., N,N’-dihexyl-4,4’-bipyridinium dibromide (DSPTC) was synthesized from the low cost starting materials. The structures of the synthesized DSPTC and 1-(prop-2-ynyl)-1H-indole...
Water extract of onion catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation reaction: an efficient green procedure for synthesis of α-cyanoacrylonitriles and α-cyanoacrylates
A useful method for Knoevenagel condensation has been developed from the reaction between active methylene compound 1 and aldehyde 2 using the water extract of onion as a green catalyst. This method is suitable for varie...
Quantitative structure-retention relationships applied to chromatographic retention of ecotoxicity of anilines and phenols
Aniline, phenol, and their derivatives are widely used in industrial chemicals that consequently have a high potential for environmental pollution. Genetic algorithm and partial least square (GA-PLS), kernel partial leas...
Modification of activated carbon by ZnCl2, CaCl2, MgCl2 and their applications in removal of nitrate ion from drinking water
Nitrate is one of the most crucial pollutants in the urban and rural drinking water resources. Many techniques have been used to remove these contaminants. In this study, granular activated carbon (GAC) modified with the...
