TURKISH CINEMA AND RELIGION IN THE MODERNIZATION PROCESS

Abstract

Large-scale modernization process conducted by the government in contrast to the cultural and artistic revolution "a simple public entertainment" is seen as a means neglected in cinema, in spite of this neglect is no longer at all indifferent to modernization efforts. Especially to enter the home in the 1970 television movie of the historical process, not directly indirectly modern western values, perceptions and has been the bearer of the mentality. One of the issues covered in the modernization process of Turkish Cinema in this context religion. The value of religion in Turkish cinema theme examination process of modernization can be regarded as a work area. The aim of the modernization process at least dealt with the theme of religion in Turkish cinema is trying to determine in general.
