Türkiye'de Temel Bilimlerde Sarsılış: Ülkenin Sarsılışı

Abstract
Bu çalışmada öncelikle Türkiye'deki biyoloji, fizik, kimya, matematik ve moleküler biyoloji ve genetik bölümlerinin 2007 yılından günümüze gösterdikleri niceliksel gelişmeler gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla her bir bölüm için yıllara göre doluluk oranları, program sayıları, öğrenci sayıları ve öğretim elemanı sayıları hesaplanmış ve bu göstergelerin yıllara göre değişimleri ortaya konulmuştur. Böylelikle incelenen bütün bölümlerde bu dört sayısal göstergedeki değişimin birbiriyle paralellik gösterdiği gözlemlenmiş ve son yıllarda biyoloji, fizik, kimya, matematik ve moleküler biyoloji ve genetik bölümlerindeki bu değişimlerin nedenleri belirlenmeye ve açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca sadece niceliksel değil mezunların niteliklerini, dolayısıyla istihdamını arttırıcı yeni politikaların geliştirilmesinin önemi vurgulanmıştır.
